Food Festival Wereldse Heerlyckheid returns to the Brink in Ruinen

On Saturday, May 23, the day before Pentecost, the Brink in Ruinen will once again transform into one big open-air international restaurant. This year's Food Festival Wereldse Heerlyckheid brings together dishes from ten different world cuisines at one special location. Visitors will be introduced to authentic flavors from Curaçao, Drenthe, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Iran, Kurdistan, Uighur region, Palestine, Syria and Yemen. Dishes will be prepared by status holders and local catering entrepreneurs, making the festival a unique meeting of cultures. In addition to the international bites, there will be more goodies from 't Vershuus, Wijngaard Runa, Ni Hao, Buitenbar, Wendy's ice cream and Jutndel beer brewers. The festival has something for everyone: there will be live music and children's activities. The event is organized by Werkgroep Wereldse Heerlyckheid of Ondernemend Ruinen, with the cooperation of Dorpshuis Ruinen, Kerk Ruinen, Welzijn De Wolden, Stichting Evenemententerrein Ruinen, Gemeente De Wolden and Expertise Center Plato.
