Facilities at EuroParcs Ruinen Holiday Park

Swimming a few lengths or sliding down the waterslide is all possible at EuroParcs Ruinen's indoor swimming pool. Even in bad weather, you can enjoy the warm water. The little ones can splash around in the separate paddling pool. On weekdays, there are swimming lessons in between.

At EuroParcs Ruinen, you will find a dog play area. At the dog play meadow, dogs can run free and run around. The meadow is fenced and there are several pieces of playground equipment. It is also possible to wash your dog here.

What better way to explore Drenthe's national parks and villages than by bike? We have a wide range of bicycles, children's bikes and seats. Ask at reception for availability.

Climbing, scrambling, jumping, sliding and playing... Even when the weather is not so good, children (up to 8 years old) can have a great time in our indoor playground.

Relax in the sauna at EuroParcs Ruinen.

Need a moment to yourself? Relax completely in our sauna. This outdoor sauna is great for relaxing in the middle of nature. You can hire the sauna privately or reserve a time slot to use it with others.

Our small but nice park shop is located next to the reception. Here you can get a nice cold drink, some groceries, games and more. You can pay for your groceries yourself at the self-scan.

See our lovely animals at the petting zoo at EuroParcs Ruinen. You are not allowed to cuddle the animals in the meadow.

Enjoying a holiday together with your dog? At EuroParcs Ruinen, your loyal four-legged friend is more than welcome. While you relax in the beautiful nature of Drenthe, your dog can enjoy the forests, walking routes and the many opportunities to explore the area together.

A dog leash policy applies throughout the park to keep the environment pleasant and safe for everyone. Waste bags and waste bins are available throughout the park to help keep the surroundings clean and enjoyable.

The area around EuroParcs Ruinen is perfect for long walks with your dog. From the park, you can discover the beautiful nature of Drenthe with forests, heathlands and many walking routes where you can enjoy peace and space together.

Good to know:

• Pets are allowed in selected accommodations
• Specially designed dog-friendly accommodations are available
• These accommodations have a fenced garden, water and food bowls, and a crate
• Dogs must be kept on a leash in the park
• Waste bags and waste bins are available throughout the park

Scattered around the park you will find various playgrounds for the kids. In the central playground, you can climb, clamber, swing or play ping-pong. In the natural playground, you can also bounce on the big bouncy castle!

In the park you can use the central sanitary building. This has toilets, showers, washing cabins, children's sanitary facilities, a baby washroom, dishwashing facilities and a disposal area for chemical toilets.

Our launderette is available for use 24/7. You can pay by pin.

At our holiday park, we have marked out a dog trail. This can be found on our park map, marked with a T and the red dotted line. This is a nice route to walk (on a leash) with your dog.

EuroParcs Ruinen has four charging points for electric cars. You are not permitted to charge your car at your accommodation. You will find the charging points next to the central facilities by the kids’ club. We ask that you park there for a maximum of 24 hours, so that other guests with electric cars can also use the charging points. That way, you can start every day of your holiday with a full battery. 

The use of fireworks is not permitted within our park. For many years, we have consciously chosen to maintain a completely firework-free New Year's celebration, allowing our guests, children and pets to enjoy peace and relaxation.

Due to changes in Dutch legislation, a ban on consumer fireworks will apply from New Year's Eve 2026/2027 onwards. Only Category F1 fireworks (such as sparklers and novelty fireworks) will remain permitted for private use. Professional fireworks displays may still take place where the required permits have been granted.

Please note that our firework-free policy applies only within the boundaries of the park. Outside the park, depending on local regulations and circumstances, professional fireworks displays may take place and permitted F1 fireworks may be used.

Important: No fireworks are permitted within the park, including Category F1 fireworks.

Come and enjoy a meal or snack at Friends ‘n Bites! Take a seat inside for a cup of coffee and a slice of cake, lunch with a tasty panini and, in the afternoon, find a spot on the terrace for a drink with snacks. Our menu features delicious burgers, schnitzels and loaded fries. For children, there is a Yuki Kids Meal and delicious ice cream desserts.

Reservations can be made at the restaurant itself. If the restaurant is closed, reservations can be made at reception.

Fancy some chips and a tasty snack? You can do so at the park's snack bar. You will find it near the restaurant. Enjoy on the terrace or take your order back to your accommodation!

Order your fresh rolls online every day for the following morning. Orders can be placed until 5 p.m. the day before via the button below. 

It is also possible to purchase fresh rolls at the park shop, while stocks last. 

We also offer breakfast boxes, complete with bread rolls, spreads, and yogurt.

Play some golf with the family on our challenging, but fun miniature golf course! The price is €3.50 and there is no need to make a reservation.

Kubb is the ultimate mix of a tactical game of chess and an old-fashioned throwing game. The objective? Knock over your opponent’s knights with wooden batons and, ultimately, bring down the king in the center. The best thing about Kubb is its perfect pace: there’s always enough time for a good conversation, a cold drink, and a bit of friendly trash talk when someone misses hopelessly for the third time in a row.
